The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) launched its annual Festive Season Crime Prevention Campaign on 16 November 2011.
This year’s campaign, which spans from November 2011 to February 2012, is one of NCPC’s signature programmes. It aims to remind the public to stay vigilant while they go about shopping and celebrating amidst festivities. Four crime prevention messages are highlighted in this campaign, and they are:
- Don’t Let Them Be Easy Pickings. Watch Your Belongings.
- Don’t Get Rubbed The Wrong Way. Protect Yourself.
- Fights Achieve Nothing. Don’t Get Involved.
- Don’t Make Burglars Feel Welcome. Secure Your Home.
The campaign messages will be disseminated island-wide through radio broadcasts,campaign collaterals, taxi, train and bus advertisements.
